A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a rounded shield blazoned: Or above a twin-peaked mountain issuant from base Gules (Brick Red) a winged military vehicle tire edgewise of the last wings displayed throughout Azure (Bluebird). Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed SEMPER PROPELLARE in Black letters.
Brick red and golden yellow are the colors used for Transportation Corps. The peaked areas allude to the mountainous terrain of Korea, the Battalions area of organization. The winged tire symbolizes the mission of the Battalion of transporting and providing rapid mobility of men and equipment over all areas and under all conditions. The motto translates to Driving Forward Ever.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 25 November 1958.
